The oem handlebar housing is ugly. The best place for any additional switch (heated grips in my case):

It's one of the things that makes me doubt the product. A bit like fitting wheels to a tomato. Fit decent optics so they put down light where it's needed and dimming becomes moot.

I am sure that #13 is just a simple two terminal on-off switch. 2$ @ the local auto parts store plus I don't want anything else on my handlebars.
