Handlebar Switches

Have you had any luck yet? I've got that same crappy switch box for my grips & fog lights, not yet found an assembly that will replace it.

D'Day Mr. Sparrow,

Sorry Mate, I know your post is a bit old but it's the only one I could find related to my inquiry.
Did you manage to sort your switch out?

I've bought a pair of spot lights and was thinking that I may use the switch on the LHS of the handlebars. Well, in fact there's a provision for a switch on my 2005 Classic, but no switch.

I was wondering if you had considered using this and if so do you know if there is a switch available.

Thanks ...... me hearty.

It's been a discussion point on this forum before. No one seems to know for sure what that position is for but to my knowledge no one has yet found a way to use it. I haven't yet found another switch block to do my job which is for fog lights & heated grips. Good luck searching & let me know if you find something.

Hook up with @nolton . He has a switch located on the RHS switch housing for his fog lights

Still looking, I have a few email inquiries out with a couple companies but no luck yet. Funny thing is I have found a few switches made out of aluminum but they are for 7/8" bars, nothing for 1" as of yet.

Easternbeaver.com is where I got the switch.
Put it in the blank space on the right. Fits perfect on the inside. Had to make a cover for the outside.
It controls my LED fog lights.

Hey nolton your pics aren't working or is it just me? I'd like to see what you've done as I would like to add a switch there too.

I've spent a good deal of time researching this. As far as aluminum rockers for 1" bars here are a few:

BTW you can use two momentary switches for on/off by wiring two relays together for latch/unlatch.

Expensive grip switch:

Under grip switch (you'd have to call and see if they'd sell switch separate):

I've got a big chunky switch fitted to my bars for my heated grips, horrible!!!!!!!

I would like to use nolton's idea of hooking his recommended switch and install 2 switches side by side. One for my new spot lights and one for the heated grips. I'm aware the heated grips have 2 setting high and low however, I'm willing to forfeit the high setting as it's way too hot.

I think 2 switches side by side would look well balanced as I'm a little concerned that the one noltan uses may look like an aftermarket add on. Sorry noltan, not trying to be critical, your idea is great and the best I've seen, so well done. My pet hate is "aw well lets just put this here", no homework done and an afterthought, just like my stupid switch.

noltn, do you reckon one could get your 2 switches side by side in the housing, would 2 fit???

It's been so long ago I just can't remember.
Give me 2 hours and I will post another pic of a different option.
This would give you the option of using one switch in another area.
Everyone's best option is to get @DEcosse involved here, ;) like I just did.
