Was doing some plumbing work at a local MC shop and they had these pistons sitting on the counter.

Back in the early 80's I was running a M/C shop.
I had a good reputation for building Engines.
One time a Guy came in with a blown motor saying that he had pulled the clutch in as soon as it blew.
I asked what RPM was the Engine doing at the time ... "about 6000 RPM"
And how long between the Engine blowing and you pulling in the clutch .... realistically ... "oh ... maybe 3 seconds"
So at 6000 RPM, that's 60 rotations per second, the Engine only spun over 180 times in a smashed up state !
"oh" ... is all he said
Think about that for a bit.
