Tire Pressure

Always inflate tires to the correct pressure as indicated in the owner's manual. However Metzeler North America has found the air pressure suggestions listed below will improve mileage and customer satisfaction especially if a emphasis is placed on running the air pressure towards the maximum as stated on the sidewall. Check cold tire pressures frequently. Correct tire pressure is crucial for safe handling. Over inflation may impair ride comfort and reduce the contact patch between the tire and driving surface of the tires. Insufficient air pressure will result in poor handling and cause a tendency for the motorcycle to "wander". In addition, improper and insufficient tire will cause accelerated tire wear, increased fuel consumption, less control and the possibilities for tire failure to due an overload/under inflated operating situation.

I know it might go away but I can "chirp" second and third gear. LOL
I will recheck the psi in the rear tire because yesterday it was 96 degrees .... so the tire will be cold "as it gets" this morning.
I will also raise the front tire air pressure to 37 psi which is 3 psi more than what Triumph calls for on the front tire.
I could not find max air pressure on the Metz.... it has to be there somewhere but I couldn't find it!! Look again this morning.
try 40psiin your metz, thats what I was told when complaining to my dealer about uneven tyre wear better still switch to either of the follwing and you will sharpen your steering Shinko757, Avon Cobra and I believe there is a Bridgestone Radial which I have been told is good too;)

Thanks guys for the info.

Rode the bike some this morning then headed into to work. Drove home after work. What is hard to do is tell you what it feels like over the internet but here it goes. When I'm riding in a straight line it is fine, when I go into a curve it feels like the rear tire has to follow me. Another words I make the decision on the direction and it takes time for the tire to catch up with me (delayed reaction). Also it has a little mushiness to it,,, like when I was a kid and rode a bicycle with a flat tire. More psi in the rear I'm assuming OR should I wait until I get some more miles on the tire. I haven't hit a 100 miles yet.

add just 2 psi at a time. Your doing it right.
as he said, it shouldn't feel mushy. But hows your front tyre I was amazed at a few extra psi in the front metz makes or better still if it's nearly knackered get a Shinko two thirds of the cost slightly better wear rate, sticks like **** to a blanket but most importantly makes the bike turn heaps faster and I Mean Heaps:cool:

by the way did you get your Cookie?..................... I'm still waiting for mine:D

A Shinko huh? How inexpensive are they? Maybe I can justify replacing the worn Metzler if it's cheap enough.
OOOPS, forgot you are on the other side of the globe, what's cheap there isn't typically cheap here ... and vice versa.

Just replaced front Avon Cobra this morning - $268 fitted on the spot. I had ordered it in so I knew it was there but I just dropped in cold and in less than 20 mins was out of there. :) Highly recommend Joe's Motorcycles to anyone remotely near Canberra. Is there anyone??????

Got 10,400km out of the old one, worn almost smooth and pretty much dead even from edge to edge (ever so slightly more left on the left due to our camber). Can't wait to "rough up" the new one a bit over the weekend. :D
