Darkside = NO DICE!! in Idaho.

Where do you live in Idaho? I moved from Idaho Falls to Wisconsin in 2006, then to NJ in 2008.

Sometimes I miss the scenery and open roads, but not the 120 mile commute to/from work each day.

Good luck with the new tire.....

Any tire changer that uses the clamps type will change this tire you do not have to take it to a bike shop take it off yourself and go to your local tire shop your bike shop cannot balance it anyway they have to static balance a 240 the computerized balancers do not have a long enough shaft to operate with a 240 if they're charging you for balancing they are putting it to you :eek::eek:

They all did you a favour. Exedra Max is brilliant.

Im still following your tyre choice Richard what are we putting on the front mate, I thought it was a matching BS, but I read you changed you mind

Whats it gonna be mate :D

Are you still going to try that liquid stuff for balance or beads ?

Last DS I had tried to mount myself with my POS tire machine and it was to weak to get the new Cooper Zeon on. Had a big tire chain mount the tire and then took to a Triumph dealer balance it for me. This time around I was able to mount the new tire myself, (more people pulling on the **** wheel to get it on and off). Took back to the same dealer and he was unable to "find the shaft to mount the wheel on the balancer"
Put in about 4 oz. of balancing beads and all is great. :D

B.S. Tire

Yeah, the Bridgestone is so good that Bridgestone recalled them on the Tourer and says that its tire is not designed for the Triumph Rocket. Apparently several have come apart because of the torque of the R3 140 C.I. But it's interesting that I haven't heard of not one C T coming apart or causing any problems. There are many makes and models using C Ts now and I have not read one bad report. I've watched many videos of bikes going through twisties and most leaning enough to scrap pegs and floorboards. How much more can one lean a bike? Anyway, not to take away from the B.S. tire cause I wouldn't hesitate to use one but, I'm at the point owning now two Rockets I have to go to the darkside.

So, on the one hand, Bridgestones suck to the point of recall, but you wouldn't hesitate to have one? Interesting reasoning...
