Build Quality

Got my 2012 R3R mid June 2012. Crashed Aug 2013 with 20K miles on it.
NO PROBLEMS! LOVE the bike. Making changes to increase clearance and performance to my preference.
Very excited about returning to the saddle in a few more weeks!

For my age now, this is the BEST motor I can find!
Were I 45 or less, I'd still be riding a sport bike.

If you are older (say around 57 heh heh heh) and still interested in performance, THIS IS THE MOTOR your ass should be on!

Not sure about the later models but I've found the nuts, bolts and screws .. in fact all the fasteners leave a bit to be desired on my 2007 plated model. They seem to round and strip pretty easily once they have been in and out a few times. Otherwise paint, chrome and other finishes seem to be holding up alright. Think build quality would get a 8 out of 10 from me.

My rocket gets an awesome 10 ,could not be happier with over 80,000 Kim's on the beast .i don't think I could part with it, maybe just bye another r3 next year to keep it company

So I'm guessing that comments other than those of praise will be responded to with insults and name calling. Nice!

BTW whiner has a "h".

So I'm guessing that comments other than bland acceptance of everything someone says will be responded to with patronising and judgmental remarks from people who consider themselves somehow superior. Nice.

People who dig up not only a "welcome" thread but search out another that is 4 years old to drop a bucket on these bikes and their owners deserves whatever they get.

I take it you're fine with this remark then:

BTW, it's an "h".

I know Mr Magoo .. he drives a Morris Minor ... always yelling out ROADHOG at other drivers a grumpy sort of character.

It pleases me to see that you have consulted the style manual if not the dictionary.

A tad sensitive, aren't you. Obviously I have missed something in mrmcgoo's comments. Please show me where he 'drops a bucket" on R3 owners. I fail to see the necessity for insults and derogatory comments to a post that was stating a personal opinion which apparently differs from yours. Is aggression and name calling your response to comments that don't please you. You should perhaps read your own comments. You have coined the perfect description, superior.

You're a very funny guy. You amuse me.

There, do you feel better now? Juvenile insults seem to have become your calling card.

I hardly think I'm the aggressor here. Clearly he doesn't think much of Rockets or their owners so should do everyone, including himself, a favour and just go buy something else. That's pretty much what was said to him. His parting shot was more than just an opinion; he intended to ruffle feathers. How else do you explain the remark that Rocket ownership is "expensive compensation for something" and not related to the bike's capabilities? OK, maybe that's not dropping a bucket, but it's hardly the best way to make friends - unless it's with you apparently.

If anyone's being a tad sensitive here I'd have to say it's you. Now go and untangle your knickers before you hurt yourself.

Well said Dickie. Keep digging!
