Brute or Jars ??

"Best" is difficult to nail. Do you mean most hp, most torque, biggest top end, biggest bottom end, freest flowing, 'best' looking (which is subjective anyway - could be anything from prettiest of baddest), loudest, 'best' note, lightest?

For me the "best" exhaust system is the one that pleases me the most. It makes my bike the ride I want, suits my riding style, keeps the bike smooth and reliable and tractable in traffic as well as on the open road, has a look I can live with and above all is the one I can afford.

The Brutes will produce the most power, hands down! About 20% more than the Jardines properly tuned. For my money, they are also the more elegantly designed, which is, perhaps, the primary reason that they make more power.

I have Jardines, they sound awesome, and really boosted power with a retune. I know the Jardines won't make as much horsepower as the Brutes on a bike with Carpenter's 240 hp kit, but the Brute was designed specifically for the 240 hp kit, not sure if it would be optimal for a non-built motor, maybe not enough backpressure? Ask on the .com, you'll get to meet Art....

The Brute exhaust was designed to be the ultimate, best performing free-flowing exhaust made for the R3, regardless of whatever work you have or haven't done to your engine, but yes, since management here has obstinately not seen fit to allow perhaps the most knowledgeable person (Art/IMFASTTOO) about the Rocket III on either of the owner's sites to participate here, go on over to .com and ask the Guru himself!

Other than cost, which exhaust would be best for an 06 with triples..and proper tune .?? just askin'
Not that I particularly like either but here my take on what I have read on them both and I have also seen both in the flesh

the Jardines are not very well finished looks wise I think they are cheap and nasty the sound is raucous and if you look at them from behind the sit uneven, but by all accounts they are good performers

the Brutes look heaps better classy welds nice finish but require a mod to the chrome cover that goes from swing arm mount to pillion pegs, unfortunately you have to trim some of the chrome They sound awesome with the reverse cone baffle end cap as Warpe has and so does my friend, being 2 inch they sure as hell are going to flow the horse but I would not know if it comes at a cost of torque the one I have seen is on a bike with the internals massaged and a Super charger similar set up to Warpe's
the down side is they don't come with heat shields and the ones they will on sell to you are cheesy and I would not opt for them instead do as my mate has and have some classy ones made by a pipe guy, they follow the bends beautifully.

I am going to have ot agree with you Hans I love the sound and perfomrance of the 4.5 inch Megaphone. and yet I still get to hear the whistle of the blower spooling up. I am told it sounds like a jet engine when I get on her

Are you sure you aren't Art?

yeah The Brutes nearly sounds as good as My Sams Headers with the modified StainTunes, I am in the process of designing a 3 muffler look but with 2 inch outlets and 2 inch header tubes so that the HP I loose with having 3 mufflers (extra back pressure) as opposed to a single outlet will be made up with the wider pipe cos a Non Super Charged engine with massage internals would not need more than 1/34 tubes header into a single normally according to the info I have received, but first I will have to find the funds then I will talk to N/Lush and the guy that built Ponters work of Art and see if my idea can work
You know I'm just stirring ya Warpe if yours sound like our mutual friend that lives up the road from me then they sound Friggin Awesome
