Bridgestone Exedra Max

Obviously these Bridgestones are the tyre of choice at the mo for the rear, am I right in thinking there isn't an equivalent front that fits the bike? The front of choice to go with this rear is the Michelin commander right?

I'm running the michelin commander on the front and the excedra max on the back at the moment , I'm finding that through the twisties and speeds not exceeding 130 kph ,for me it's a terrific combination ,but I'm finding that speeds in excess of 130kph I'd prefer an Avon or a Metz on the front

Hi Jim,
ABS is fine. I use it all the time.

I might need traction control also. But this Tyre hangs on better than the Metz

as an aside but still on tyres, grumble bug has a g701 exedra on the front that appears to be doing the job alright although I notice above $1.30 - 40 it feels a bit light on, you blokes running avons - tried these things I'm sure but ... shed a little light for me on performance differences please?

Tried the G701 and didn't like it overall. As said, good grip when new, great in wet. But the thing had very little tread from new either side of centre - where you need it most on the front - and wore down to nothing there in no time. I find the Avon better handling and much better wear (about double the life).
