Very true. I don't know why but I got caught in the rain with my regular work boots on and it seemed my Roadster was throwing the water straight at my feet. By the time I got home my feet was soaked really bad. I have since added some highway pegs so maybe I can throw my feet on those and get them out of the direct path of the water.

These boots are very well made ,i used neats foot oil on mine. I've ridden in the rain all day with these boots . Like any leather product you need to maintain them on a regular basis. The main reason i bought them was for the comfort and easy on easy off. I've yet to see a 100% water proof boot unless it's treated or rubberized.
I'm either going to have mine re-soled or buy new. Can anybody suggest a good boot manufacturer ? Just looking for basic mid calf, waterproof, slip on type. Don't need to be titanium and kevlar reinforced or have skulls, chains, daggers or any of that $hit
Gortex is the cat's meow. I've had a pair of Gortex lined hunting boots for years and love the NO maintenance. I might clean them off every once in awhile. I've walked in rivers with these boots. I don't think there is anything waterproof as Gortex that is breathable. I have a pair of Alpinestar gloves with Gortex and they came with a warranty if they ever leak I get a new pair. I have held my hands under the sink faucet with them on just to see if they are indeed waterproof. lol
