looks good....**** good....I would have had to wear white cotten gloves putting it together to prevent my greasy fingers from leaving prints..

as a suggestion...get a chunk of plexiglass or something and have him spray a tiny bit and then attach that to your oiltank on the side... be too much trouble to take the tank off and send it...

I was thinking the same, Chad... some sort of blue name plate. I've got one more bright blue turbo hose coming from Stylin' Motors... they really set off the now painted and polished bear claw area. :)

Chin fairing in place, but she still needs a bath... I'm almost afraid to wash her.

paint job

hombre, very nice you planned out your Rocket excellent, now it looks fast:)
Could you give me an idea how fast it is with a super charger? and how it is to ride? How much faster could you take off then another Rocket with about 150 hp say from stop light to next stop light would you leave it standing still? Or is there just too much power to take off any faster? Or would you notice a big derfferece if both Rockets is going say thirty miles and both took off then would it be like the other Rocket standing still? I'm just trying to imagine what it would be like to have that much power .
If you can try to exlpaine on the differece that would be great do you need to be careful every time you chage gears that you don't go in the air? If you let the clutch out to quick would it flip over backwards like those sports bike? Or you don't need to worry because the Rocket is to heavy? Just trying to imagine what it would be like with all that extra power.

Cafe R3

Cane, I'll try to describe the experience...

First let me point out that a supercharged R3, even with cams, is totally tractable if you drive it that way. You can just putt around town from idle to 3000 RPM like any stock Rocket if you want. I also have to point out that my idle is FN perfect... 800 RPM hot or cold. My stepper motor and MAP sensor are both fully functional, and when starting the bike cold, the stepper takes the idle up to 1200 RPM for about 20 seconds, and as the engine warms, the mixture leans out... and the idle drops to 800 RPM. And stays there even after hard, hot runs.

Launching my R3 hard in 1rst gear will produce scary wheel stands... I don't do it. I always launch in 2nd for race starts, and still get wheel lift if I want it. One of the most interesting results of my "cafe" seating position (forward mounted, dropped handlebars & rear-rear sets) is that it has totally changed the weight distribution on the bike. I can launch very hard in 2nd gear, with only a few inches of air... then hit the remaining gears super hard with no lift at all. I do get some wheel spin however... hence the short rear tire life. This makes for an much harder charging R3 than any 150 HP Rocket. I would say that with 2 riders of equal launch ability, I'd pull ahead in the first 60 feet... due to lighter bike, greater torque, and very little wheel stand. After that I'd easily pull even a cammed 160 HP Rocket in every gear, because of the increased upper power band... she makes over 200 Ft Lbs torque right through 7000 RPM. A 30 MPH roll-on would be no contest... she'll immediately leave any 160 HP Rocket in the dust. Match-ups like that are better done with sport bikes... more sporting! Hope this answers your questions. :D
