Is there a large windshield out there for the Classic? I seen a Classic with the summer screen and I didn't think I would like it because it is too short. I think I would like to find a nice used one and see how I like it before I sell my Corbin fairing. Anybody have one lying around the garage gathering dust that they would like to get rid of? My email terbob52@cableone.net

Thanks

Cee Bailey makes replacement bike windscreens as well as aircraft windows. You could check their website for one. ceebailey.com
I have their extra tall version, the optics are perfect for looking through.
They don't sell the hardware of course, but if you find a used one with iffy plastic, I recomend them.

Just wondering what u don't like about your fairing. I really like the look great but always wondered how they performed

I love the look and how they perform. The only thing I don't like is how it keeps me from reaching 150 mph. My bike has 144 hp with 151 trq and I am sure will run 150 mph without the fairing. But with it on the bike, I am not able to get to that magical 150 mph number. Just my personel preference you understand. I have heard of others on here that are able to run 150 with there bikes that have the Corbin fairing but maybe its my 320 lbs that is keeping me from getting there. But you will notice I still have the fairing on. I would rather have the looks and comfort that having it provides than being able to run 150 mph. I guess 135 to 140 will have to do.

I agree with CanBerra...just take the fairing off, hit your 150 mph, then put it back on. I have the Corbin fairing on my bike as well, and can remove it in about 3 minutes (just remove the 4 bolts and leave the chrome mounting arms on the bike).

Prior to my Rocket, I had a bike with a large Rifle shield similar to what you are looking for, and can assure you the drag from a large shield will be much more than that of the streamlined Corbin fairing. Plus, it will take longer to remove the shield than the Corbin fairing.....

Very nice looking bike BTW...

hi tim. i'm about the same height as you, i think you're also 6'4" tall, and the standard shield on my 08 classic is 20" from the bottom of the tip between the headlights to the top of the shield. just about 3" too short for me to look over and still have the windstream go over my head. i contacted clearview windshields in bailey colorado and they make two other sizes, a 23 and a 25 inch shield. they also will include a flip up at the top, or as they call it, the recurve. this should raise the windstream a couple of inches too. i'll keep you posted because i'm going to order a 23" shield, light gray tint with the recurve at the top for my bike. you can also get a vent installed in the shield to allow for flow through ventilation, that may also help, but i think it may weaken the shield itself. i know that i was quoted $206 + $29 for shipping via ups. from what i've studied on the topic, they seem to be one of the best made. wish i could justify spending the money for a fleetliner just like you have on your bike.
