better HORN

Anyone ever mounted a horn where the stock one is under the headlight? seems like there's a good amount of room there for a larger unit. Not sure how the aesthetics would be, but it does resolve the placement issue?
I was going to modify the original headlight bracket to make more room to do this I've even got a couple of spare headlight brackets to mess with but at the end of the day I couldn't be bothered

Hi ThePhoinix, I'm not sure if this will work quite the same on a Touring, but I have the Twisted Throttle Denali SoundBomb Split Dual-Tone air horn on my Roadster.

I installed the horn part under the headlight, where the stock horn used to be. There wasn't enough room, and instead of moving the cover forward, I cut the cover away to make room for the new horn. Because the Roadster's horn cover is matt black, the horn blends in quite well, looks a bit like a "nose" between the headlamp "eyes", accentuating the Rocket's "face".

The compressor sits behind the left side cover, where the evap canister used to be.

I put a Stebel Nautilus under there, used the same mounting bracket. It has been there for 4 years now. The company says to mount the horn vertically or nearly vertical but I figured I would take a chance and mount it horizontally. I figured the horn was cheap enough if I got a couple of years out of it I would be happy. With all of the other chrome on the Touring it just kind of blends in. It is out where it doesn't have any of the sound muffled. I ran a piece of rubber tubing around the body of the horn so it wouldn't pick up water or other stuff in the air intake.

Morning Folks! Just wondering what has been the REPLACEMENT horn of choice? I honked this thing, and I don't think it would scare a fly.
I installed a Chinese air horn, cost me $18 Canadian, same as stebel but cheaper. You must install a relay.

That looks great - exactly what I was thinking it should be. Thanks for the photo and the horn info.
