Totally open to improvements! A bearing carried tube would be a nice addition I think, to remove any and all slop.

My Daytona 955 will put your hands to sleep faster than it'll hit 100mph. It is absolutely horrible with the stock clipons. I switch to some custom clipons and the problem completely went away. Ill have to look into the bearing solutions, and material wise, it turns out 4130 in it's annealed state is about 2.5 times as strong as 6063-t52.

Still looking into what thickness I want to use, not sure quite yet.

In the past I've filled the bar end with tiny lead shot mixed in with silicone which when set really reduced the vibration on a buzzy bike I had.

What thickness do they use for BMW-GS's.? That'd be a good start.
Look at bonded twinwall for strength (Renthal do). 3.5mm wall-ish? - Be the dogs bollix in Ti though.

Will take photos of the throttles I have. Full bearing - both ends. But the Avons I have on now are only bar end supported.

YOUR trying to save weght with lighter handelbars that will vibrate because they are too light ?

Weight does not equal vibration free and light does not equal vibration prone.

See LSL, Renthal, Rizoma. They've all made very light bars.

The 1.5" sections could be thinner wall than you'd think. I'd not drop below 1.5mm though.
Rob - It's worth talking to that Canadian Ti supplier. They have a stock base in the states too.
Never used him personally - but a mate in the UK told me he was really helpful.
Basically sent everything pre-cut to length.
