Pretty consistently found Michelin out perform Dunlop in general on my sport bike as well, aside from the Q3s, which are pretty on par with pilot power 3s.

The Michelin Commander II comes in 140/80-17 bias H and 140/75-17 radial V. Anyone use either of these? I'm not keen on a narrower and lower tire. Does it make any difference, aside from not working with ABS? I think I've read here that 140 handles better.

Avon rear is a great handling tyre in the dry. It's big advantage, if that's important, is that it comes in OEM size. However, I found it lost traction too easily in the wet. 50% better mileage than a Metz. I ran two of them.

The Exedra Max is a better tyre all round. As good as Avon in the dry and so much better in the wet. The higher profile is all a big plus too. Softer ride and I think the taller gearing made the Rocket more controllable coming out of a corner. It's the size the Rocket should have come with. It's also flatter and has deeper tread so gives about another 50% mileage over the Avon. Although it's a 240, it is also actually a little bit fatter than the others. Lost count but must have used at least 6, always with an Avon on the front - except for 1 time I tried an Exedra (not a Max and not recommended).

Thanks. Exedra Max rear and Avon Cobra front seems to be the consensus.

Absolutely! I had the Cobra rear & Metz front - Exedra Max is much better in rain - Cobra rear was great, but you are right about the softer ride & taller gearing.

Doug, I also went with the smaller 140/75 Avon Cobra on front as others have suggested in other posts & it does have more nimble feel in front.
Exedra Max 240/55R16 Rear - Cobra 140/75 R17 V Front is a great combo, even in wet conditions

Has anyone else gone with a 140/75 on their Roadsters? Pros and cons review would be appreciated. I will need a front in a few thousand miles and I am considering the Avon. Thanks.

I went with it because I saw quite a few others posted that they used them & liked em very much. I don't remember which thread of the hundreds of tire threads I saw it on, but I believe it was mentioned on more than 1 thread.
It really makes the whole front end feel "lighter" (You UK guys & Aussie's I think call it "livelier"). Maneuvering at low speed in tight areas as in parking lots, ect is easier.
I can really feel the difference on mine.
