The 3M tape I mentioned earlier in this thread, don't play. I think if you could get a good hold on it, you could pick my whole bike up by the knee pad. I marked off the position with a wax pencil, then cleaned area with 0000 steel wool and prepsol, to make sure all wax was gone.
