You guys are great. I'll give her a little time to feel more confident on it but she's already got a Rocket grin - must feel like a Rocket after the Virago - so you never know.

I rode it home and it's an absolute delight. Such a nice bike to ride. Easy but with plenty of poke. Only thing I'd want for me is Speedmaster bars - and some shorty pipes. Can't wait to be able to open it up - if I'm allowed to ride it, that is.

Thanks guys for all the feedback. I rode her this afternoon and she is VERY sexy although bigger than the Virago and just a little intimidating! I need to get use to having something that big between my legs before I even consider a ride outside of Canberra [Richard says I have to stipulate that I'm only talking about bikes here]. Can't even imagine riding to Hervey Bay at this point but we'll see what happens over the next month. Thanks Hanso for your very kind offer, but I'll need a lot more confidence before I try that trip. I've only been riding for 10 months for god's sake!!

But again, and I'm not sure I can say this enough, she is very, very sexy!!

Richard..i think it's fantastic that your good wife rides a motorcycle and you can both
get out together and enjoy the freedom and pleasure that motorcycles bring.
I know you will support her and encourage her in her riding.
My good wife won't go anywhere near a motorcycle and i always envy guy's when i
see them out with their wife's or girlfriends either riding pillion or solo together.
There are quite a few guy's here whose wife's ride their own bikes or get on the back
And i would like to commend all of them...you lucky guy's

Thats a real pity about your good lady RJ.. why doesn't she like bikes, did she have a bad experience or something ?

Hell.. Saori is always wanting to go somewhere even just for an hour or 2 with coffee and cake 80 Kms out.. sometimes we go to an out of town resturant for informal dinners wearing leathers and boots too, always ask a the desk if its OK though.. no probs so far

Is there no way you could coax her ?
