hey Amanda, congrats on the new baby girl. she's a real beaut. now i must say,i never push anyone to ride if they arent comfy with it but i do know that my Rachelle did take some encouraging coming for rides with my lads. she was ok when it was just me and her friends but was a little intimidated when my boys came along.

All i can say is whenever there is a newish rider or someone not 100% i tend to go charlie and look out for them so you wont be getting pushed. i am certain Richard will want to ride with you but i find being close but a few bikes apart is less pressure and just as much fun.

Any way, if you do decide to give it a go, we'll all support you and take care of you, if not I'm happy you are making the effort to come up anyway. certainly makes it easier to get Rachelle coming along, so thanks either way.

once again, congrats on the beast and may every ride be safe and fun. bless ya sis!

Thats a real pity about your good lady RJ.. why doesn't she like bikes, did she have a bad experience or something ?

Hell.. Saori is always wanting to go somewhere even just for an hour or 2 with coffee and cake 80 Kms out.. sometimes we go to an out of town resturant for informal dinners wearing leathers and boots too, always ask a the desk if its OK though.. no probs so far :D

Is there no way you could coax her ?

Hi Dennsell
She had a bad accident on a pushbike when she was about 10 and just flat refuse's
to go anywhere near a bike..of course i've tried over the years but it just get's
her all stressed out.So we decided to leave it at that.
Boy would i run out tomorrow and buy something big and comfy if she said yes.

RJ

Tell you what .... i had a chick that had her own bike once, a 1200 Sportster. It was a dead-set pain in the arse. She had about as much road sense as a f#ckin cocker-spaniel. If she wasn't a speck in my mirrors behind me she was barreling off ahead ... usually into a radar trap. F#ckin happiest day of my life when we parted company..... For those that long for a wife/partner that rides ..... well, be careful what you pray for hey !!!!!!

PS Amanda i know you will never be like she was

Pity mate but understandable I guess you will just have to be the lone rider RJ ;):)
Take Care...

Congrats on the new purchase Amanda, it sure is a beaut, nice colour.
Loved some of the comments from you guy's it has taken me a while to compose myself and sore sides from laughing, too many to quote..

Tomcat takes it though "about as much road sense as a cocker spaniel" gotta love that ..:D
I guess I am a lucky one though, the other half rides too and does so with ease and confidence. None of that spaniel stuff haha. Crikey I am still chuckling about that.
Good on ya guy's see ya all soon ish.

Congratulations Amanda, nice looking bike.
I have done my 1st day of Qride yesterday and Day 2 is Monday and then fingers crossed will have my license, I have had my learners since November 2011 and yesterday was 1st day on a bike, I'm sorry now I didn't get off my backside and done it sooner, when I got home yesterday I asked the big fella for the keys to the Rocket....lol. So now next bit is getting a bike for myself and then next years RDU I can ride there myself :D

That's great! Should be more ladies doing this, then we can arrange Boys rides:D:eek:

Tony, Amanda has asked me to ask you what sort of bike Rachelle has and how long has she been riding. And Cathy, she knows exactly how you feel and wishes you well.

I sense a potential sisterhood developing..............
