Thanks all for your suggestions, tips and contacts. She's decided on a new one from the local dealer (Eurotune). Not the cheapest but cheapest to us, all things considered. Pick it up tomorrow. This is the actual bike in the showroom but she wanted the paler blue (Carribean Blue) so they're doing a colour change with the demonstrator. Must say I like it - for a girl's bike.

Right now cash in her airline ticket and start drilling her on the responsibilities of being a Triumph owner ... we ride ... our bikes ... to where we are going ... no if's or buts , that's the whack if she wants to be a real bonifideTriumph rider

Nice thought TC but maybe wouldn't be the most enjoyable ride. Either I'd be pissed because I had to wait for her everywhere or she's be pissed because I didn't. Now if it was a short trip it wouldn't be such a problem but 1500km over 3 days might be too much even for this matrimonial bliss.
