Air Suspension for the RIIIT

Bolted them on in the parking lot. After going to NAPA, to buy a Roloc sanding disc rig to make it clear the final drive housing. The file I carry in my tool box would have taken half a day. A LOT had to come off.

Thanks I may fit one of my Progressive set ups to my R3T and keep the Fournales for my Roadsters that have a different drive shaft/frame angle when fitted and will hopefully clear without surgery.
It would appear to be due to extra meat to eye required for spherical bearings.

My line of thought also. I'm not a mechanic and most on here have forgotten more than I know about these things although it does appear the integrity is somewhat compromised here.
A lifetime in the metal trades, fixing machinery and bikes since 9YO. I wager my life, and my beloved wife's life on every part. No worries.

Wow good thing it is on the side you didn't grind down and you can claim warranty still.👍
Just a thought... if the other side you ground down hung up on the diff when the swingarm moved through its arc it may/could put a side load on the now leaking side.
I would have to look at the design again to wonder on the failure any further as I didn't think they had much oil in them at all.
