Agreed captain jack, but it will be pretty close - a lot closer than the OEM Triumph aftermarket pipes tune.

You can run stock pipes with no cat. I did for a while. Not really louder than with a cat but a bit deeper sounding. You'll like it. I don't think an underseat K&N will do much if anything for flow; maybe a little better than the stock one when a bit dirty (ie it filters better) but the real advantage is that it is serviceable rather than throw away. The pop on deceleration is due to the pipes, although you could still have it with or without the TORs tune. As TC suggested, check which tune has been put in the bike.

I started working on the bike tonight. I am going back to the stock pipes without the cat.
Well, I removed the Triumph A900205 (non stock and non complying with the noise standards) and trying to install the 2208420 (stock pipes) when I ran into this problem.
The pipes I removed had some metal/mesh material inside the pipe for a better fit, where the stock pipes do not. I tried to remove it in order to place it inside the stock pipe but I don't think they're reusable. I totally messed it up in the process of removing it.
Is this something the dealership may have or should I go with the pipes to a muffler shop and ask for help?
I've had the bike for only five days and I am going crazy here...
 
Chill .. it's not a big problem. You are thinking your Rocket will be a pain to tune like the HD's you've had in the past, carbie model HD's right ? Rocket once set up doesn't need fiddling with like an old Harley. The pipes you are removing are the ones most Owners fit after purchase, they are better (in all areas) than the stock ones. Why are you getting rid of the TORS exactly ?
 
The metal/mesh material are the gaskets. You can order new ones for around $10 or swing by your triumph shop/motorcycle shop and they probably have some in stock.

Agree with TC; relax! Besides, if you've only had the beast for five days why aren't you putting miles on instead of taking pipes off ;)

I don't like the popping when coming to a stop, and I hope the stock pipes will be quieter.
Does it make any sense?
If someone told me that the bike could be tuned to eliminate the popping than I would keep them on the bike and put the stock pipes back in the box.
Or maybe not having the cat contributes to the problem, and I would still have the popping issue even if I put the stock pipes back on.
Any thoughts?
 
The decel popping you get are a result of your tune not being exact. If you take the bike back to completely stock (including the cat box), and then re-tune it to the stock tune they should stop. Of course, they would also stop with the configuration you have already if you got the AFR mixture right in the tune you have. If you're a novice like me, that means taking it and having it dyno'd or trying different tunes from some of the very knowledgeable guys on here until you get one "fine tuned" in for your bike.
 
I just finished putting the stock pipes back on. Have not gone around the block yet but I started the bike up and I like what I'm hearing. Quiet pipes!
I don't want to deal with spending money on tuning the bike. I am happy with the stock version of it. It's a great bike that offers outstanding performance and that's good enough for me.
I am getting old and all that tweaking for a few ponies more just doesn't appeal to me anymore.

Rode the bike for about 40 miles today and everything is fine. No popping, no excessive noise, just a good overall experience. I am happy with the results.
My bike is one of the rare stock bikes and it has been a nice quiet reliable bike for the past 85'000 kilometers .i
