Hey all,
finally got my replacement gas tank yesterday and spent the morning swapping out the damaged for the new. after removing the fuel pump and float assembly, found these loose in the old tank.
the metal disks are rather heavy but are not dissolvable material. the plastic "cages" look like...
Had my tank sandblasted for painting, i am now putting it back together and want to make sure it is clear of all debris.
Does anyone have any tips for this? I wasgoing to swirl fuel aroud and empty and repeat.
I was finishing up balancing my throttle bodies when I noticed, what appears to be a slight oil leak from the under the back of the oil tank. Any ideas? Only 1,850
Thanks in advance!

You know that little hole to the left of the gas filler cap, supposed to drain whatever liquid builds up in there? Mine is clogged and I dont know how to unclog it. I stuck a large paper clip all the way down with no relief. I looked under the tank and didnt see any holes or drains or...
hi there,
anyone know of a retailer - individual that is selling rocket tank protectors for the 2008 model? I attached a photo of what I'm after. yes I have been trawling through eBay, gumtree for ages and all I get is images in Google.
I've been looking here, mentioned in a recent post:
Replacement OEM Parts for 2008 Triumph ROCKET III
I cannot find the hex-keyed bold that holds down the tank at the front.
Anyone have the part number or a web site they can find it on?
I've nearly stripped the thing and would like a spare.
Well, I smell like I'm back riding the old BSA with the tickler Amals.
I needed gas in the Rocket Touring and cash so I pulled into a Kum and Go and squeezed as much gas in as I could.
I was plenty proud of myself.
Then it was over to WF ATM for some cash. I got behind a fellow in a BMW who...

Changing the three oil rings in the bottom of the oil tank. Upon removal, I noticed the 2" metal tube with the two oil rings attached was covered with clear grease (looks like electrical grease). Anyone know what type of grease should be applied upon reinstall?
Hi Guys, I finally got around to changing the ‘ROADSTER’ badge on my oil tank. I was lucky enough to get one that reads ‘140 CUBIC INCHES’ from Mittzy. Truth be told, I’ve been avoiding it for a while now as I’ve been a bit nervous about stuffing it up while trying to put it on. The backing...
Had a leaking fuel tank and it came from the fuel pump unit. Decided to tighten a little before heading down the workshop to change the gasket but ended with a broken bolt. Long story short, Mechanic saw the condition of the tank and pump, recommended to change the whole fuel tank and pump...
OK - so lets start by saying I normally do not use the R3 for commuting. I have a lot of heavy and sensitive gear that I sometimes (without notice) have to carry. I also discovered very early on that the wheelbase is simply too long to take the narrow twisty roads well. But my car is being...
