hi there,
anyone know of a retailer - individual that is selling rocket tank protectors for the 2008 model? I attached a photo of what I'm after. yes I have been trawling through eBay, gumtree for ages and all I get is images in Google.
I've been looking here, mentioned in a recent post:
Replacement OEM Parts for 2008 Triumph ROCKET III
I cannot find the hex-keyed bold that holds down the tank at the front.
Anyone have the part number or a web site they can find it on?
I've nearly stripped the thing and would like a spare.
Well, I smell like I'm back riding the old BSA with the tickler Amals.
I needed gas in the Rocket Touring and cash so I pulled into a Kum and Go and squeezed as much gas in as I could.
I was plenty proud of myself.
Then it was over to WF ATM for some cash. I got behind a fellow in a BMW who...

Any leads appreciated.

Changing the three oil rings in the bottom of the oil tank. Upon removal, I noticed the 2" metal tube with the two oil rings attached was covered with clear grease (looks like electrical grease). Anyone know what type of grease should be applied upon reinstall?
Hi Guys, I finally got around to changing the ‘ROADSTER’ badge on my oil tank. I was lucky enough to get one that reads ‘140 CUBIC INCHES’ from Mittzy. Truth be told, I’ve been avoiding it for a while now as I’ve been a bit nervous about stuffing it up while trying to put it on. The backing...
Had a leaking fuel tank and it came from the fuel pump unit. Decided to tighten a little before heading down the workshop to change the gasket but ended with a broken bolt. Long story short, Mechanic saw the condition of the tank and pump, recommended to change the whole fuel tank and pump...
OK - so lets start by saying I normally do not use the R3 for commuting. I have a lot of heavy and sensitive gear that I sometimes (without notice) have to carry. I also discovered very early on that the wheelbase is simply too long to take the narrow twisty roads well. But my car is being...
Guys anyone Know if the newer style Triumph tank badge will fit on a earlier tank as I think they are mounted on posts that go into the tank also anyone got a part number

I was reading a few days ago about the Fuelbot 2.0 and the setup procedure. Part of that setup requires that you put the fill the tank to the capacity listed in the manual.
I don't recall the capacity of the 08 Touring at the moment, but, how does one know at what point the tank is filled to...
I've ordered the replacement embellisher for my 2011 R3T that will take the insert if I can find one...help please. My newly derestricted tune and free flow crossover pipe needs some sort of explaination for those wondering...."How big is it?" Thanks.
The tank badges are starting to pull away from the tank on my 2011 R3T. They are pulling away on the back end of the badge, closest to the seat. Any ideas out there on getting them to stick?
Between this, the dead fuel gauge, and some other small issues, I'm starting to think the R3T is the...
