    Power outlet up front

I just finished installing a power outlet for my GPS. I used the powerlet rear glove box kit for the GL1800. I had it in the garage and noticed, once I lifted the R3 tank, that is was the perfect length to run from the battery to the front right frame cover. (In front of the tank on the right...

    Surging and power stumble

Surging power stumble There's a problem that has arisen on two occasions, or rather developed during two periods, during my ownership of the Rocket (2 years now). I'll call it a surge or a power stumble (no doubt the latter). It's occurrence appears just below the peak torque RPM...

    Blue Power Ranger [Wout] Update

Had a request for info about my friend Wout's recovery from his crash. He goes to therapy 3-4 times a week and he really works hard. He is slowly regaining more use of his right hand. His speech had gotten slurred for a while, and the Doctors ran him through all kinds of tests, but everything...

    Pure Power

Custom equal length, stepped headers completed. If the sound is any indication, they are pure FN power. They also have leaned my previously correct AF out from 12.7 to 14.8, now need more fuel 'cause she's pumping more air. My own dyno is actually booked until next week... guess I shouldn't...

    Blue Power Ranger Down

Last Wed. my friend, Wout, [Pronounced Vout.] and I were riding home from work together. We were in the right lane of a 4 lane road, doing the speed limit of 45. Traffic in the left lane was backed up as people tried to get on the traffic circle [Roundabout.] at Pinehurst. A driver in the left...

    Gettin' Max Power

How do you get max performance out of a Supercharged R3? By adding 11 degrees of overlap to your cams, of course. It amazes me that other places expect big numbers from just popping on a SC and using a pre-packaged tune. It all has to work together, boys. :D BTW, that all the cam specs I'm...

  17. Touring Power Loss Mystery Solved

Went the dealer today to ask about the power difference between the standand the touring. The cams are the same parts numbers however, the throttle bodies' part numbers are different. So it appears to be a combo of tune and throttle bodies. And if you are wondering a set of standard Rocket...

    Power Commander?

I just learned I can obtain a DynoJet Power Commander III (the new one is supposedly upgraded to work on the '06-'07 models) for the R3 through AAFES (Army Air Force Exchange Service... think Wal-Mart for military folks). Has anyone used this box before and can, perhaps, comment on its...

I bought the A -power socket, it comes with just the outlet and blade terminals. Are there the female end on the R3 to just plug this in? or do I have to tie a set into the battery. Also do they make an adaptor to adap it to a regular (cigarette type) plug in?
