Where Do I Live , or plug into ???

I am trying to get the bugs out of a bke I just did a lot of work on.
This is the only cable I can not account for . I do not think that it was plugged in prior to the tear down , but want to be sure. It is located under the relays and behind the left side cover .

Mick I have had my bike since new and thee seems to be a lot o loose ends for accessories in the wiring loom

Looks like an evaportative cannister. I would guess emissions control.

That was my thought but never saw one with a eletrical plug.
