@Rocket3Pilot I was thinking about it and decided to experiment. Normally I spend most of my time in 5th gear even when the speed limit is 45. Lord knows it has MORE than enough grunt to do it. This last tank I decided to keep it in 4th any time I was under 50 mph to keep the revs up and let her run a little more freely. Wound up getting 20 more miles before the fuel light came on. Of course that is only on one tank so it could hardly be considered empirical data.

Funnily enough I checked mine today - 2014 Roadster with Tors and it was 42 UK mpg

Two weeks ago, 1300km country ride, 14.5km per Aussie litre.

Checked the converter from kpl to mpg US, 34mpg US gallon.

Cruising 85 on the slab so far 35 miles per gallon.
R3R RamAir, CES headers & can. Nels Dyno - tune!

2016 R3R 1000 miles done so far & getting 40 miles per UK gallon. I only get 30 out of my 1.6 litre car. The R3 is about the same on fule as my Hayabusa so I am very happy & impressed with its fule consumption.

No different than pushing for the most power, pushing one's rocket to explore the possibilities is why we ask the great questions! I've now explored this aspect and am off for the next!

I've been averaging 32/33 U.S. mpg. Stock 2005 R3, I'm around 250lbs with gear on. If I tried I'm sure I could get better, but I consider 33 pretty good.

My Peterbilt gets 6mpg+/- :)

I remember like 20 years ago, one of the big time truck makers was crowing about their truck that got a whopping 10 mpg! I reckon it was wheezy on hills too, but ya never hear anyone saying anything about it anymore...so long as you got an APU and don't idle during downtime!

Brahma, with stock intake, TORs and Triumph TORs tune dropped as low as 26 MPG when the front bearing were seized up and the idle was high. Last week end I got 37MPG coming back from Gettysburg. Best I ever got was riding north out of Denver to Sturgis in 2014, I hit 42 MPG.
