And actually at that speed range, I've still seen better mpg's on long hauls. I run from Des Moines, IA to Saginaw, MI about 5 times a year so this does factor in my equations a bit. But once I'm there and have people to ride with I want to pull out all of the stops and show what a Triumph has made!:p;):):whitstling:

Ok, I guess I need to re-phrase the question?o_O I'm trying to maximize the tuning of my 2013 Triumph Roadster. I drive exactly the same as I did before but it appears that RamAir, headers, and TOR's cost 10mpg! Does that sound reasonable to anybody? I installed PCV+AT to try to improve the mpg and it didn't do a thing. Nothing, and practically zero change in performance. So is there a chance that a dyno tune could bring it up, or is that all I can expect with those modifications? Who has the same mods and knows what their gas mileage is?

Thanks

2013 touring here. Ramair filter and Reband header, PCV with AT. Mine is getting about the same as yours or maybe a little better. When stock it would get 36 ish but the power tripp derestricting tune that I loaded in at 1000 miles had a pretty large change on the speedo correction so I don't know how much of that was really there to begin with. I have tried several different mods to the A/F target map to lean it out a bit in the cruise range but I never really managed to improve it much. Probably being a throttle happy, 300lb redneck isn't helping things much:D

Thanks, ya I only weigh 180 so maybe I should be doing a little better?

Your best fuel economy will come from gently cruising around at 14,000' on a warm day. Your worst will come from 1/4 mile stretches on cold days, at around sea level.
Of course if you go VERY high then there is not really enough Oxygen to combust with fuel. A trundle across the Atacama or Andes and you´l see. And at 30,000´ it might be a bit chilly - though of course It would be a mother of a bridge.

On average around 30 mpg (US) - It´s been as low as 23 (Spring - pouring rain - 4000rpm - about 1800´). Cruising but fast cruising.

hi sonny, i got a 1200 harley roadster, but i havent rode it since i got the r3
mpg doesnt really matter, its the feeling that counts lol

I'm the same. I have a Harley Electra Glide Ultra Classic that gets great mileage but I get depressed and openly weep when I get on it after riding my Rocket 3...

I drive a 5.0 lt '67 Mustang Shelby Fastback and a the Rocket, both severely modified to make max HP.
Why anyone would buy and Rocket and mention MPG leaves me bewildered?

It was just yesterday when as I hopped off the Rocket a passerby proclaimed "With that huge fuel take I should be able to get right around Australia". To which I replied, "The fuel tank is this size is is to make it between fuel stations and it sucks fuel like there's no tomorrow".

We're only on this earth for a good time not a long time and I aim use every drop of fossil fuel I'm entitled to.

I get 38 on my Touring....it has the Jardine pipe, K&N lunch box filter...and a mild tune. It's gonna loose the O2 sensor here soon.
