@barbagris Does your standard have a gear indicator on it? That map for each gear thingy sounds interesting but I don't know if it would work on a touring. No gear indicator on my 13 touring so how would it know what gear I was in?
NOPE - None on a 2009 Std either. You attach a separate wire to the SPEED SENSOR output. The appropriate gear mappings are already set - I guess it compares RPM (injector pulses per min) to Speed sensor and can work it out. Worked first time.

So this was my reason for staring this thread. It seemed to me that if I was getting 38 to 40mpg on a bone stock 2013 roadster, adding RamAir, TOR's, and headers would allow me to get more HP and torque with the same MPG or slightly less, not 28 to 30mpg. I understand that the extra power I got for hard accelerating would take more fuel but I've tried several full tanks, to just go easy, and still I can't get better than 30mpg? I don't care about the cost of the fuel, but it seems to me that it should be tunable to achieve close to stock fuel burn, yet have increased HP when you open up the throttle, with these common mods?

It can be tuned for exactly what you describe, no doubt about it.

There is the assumption though that an open element air filter and headers raises VE at cruise conditions. My tables in my tunes don't reflect that, the stock L tables work just fine for cruising for the most part.

Just as an update to this, after completely remapping following the swap to 550cc injectors, I have totally different mileage :)

City yields around 26-30 mpg. Highway yields closer to 45mpg. This a tune using leanidh cruise (14.4:1), and full throttle between 13.2 at 2500 RPM and 12.8 at 7000RPM.

Goes like stink and gets good mileage. I think I could get well into the 50s MPG if I used actual lean cruise like cars do at 15.4:1 and lean best torque at WOT at 13.5:1.

So I was getting a solid 38mpg, and sometimes 40mpg with stock 2013 Roadster.

I added Ramair, headers, and TOR's and now I really have to baby it to get 30mpg, and typically it's 26 to 28mpg! Can I do any better?

I realize that to make more HP it takes more gas but this seems pretty extreme to me and would like to know now what is the best I can expect with this combination?

Please list your particular modifications and what MPG you're getting. I think it would be pretty helpful for all of us to know what to expect from different modifications.

Thanks
Getting a fairly consistent 30 miles per imperial gallon ,a mixture of silly moments and urban riding ,bike fitted with TTS supercharger,JE high compression pistons, bigger injectors ,larger fuel pump and TTS cams
Would certainly improve that figure on a long run and using a bit of restraint with the throttle ,never get the chance to find out th'o, my i'm going to take it steady today lasts about 5 minutes
