.020 Over
Yesterday, my brother and I spent the better part of 8 hours installing Jardines, triple K&Ns, and PCV w/Autotune on my 2011 R3T. We also removed the secondaries.
After loading a map provided by Hanso, I took the bike for a test ride and could not believe the difference in performance.
I ran two 20 minute test rides and checked the trims and accepted them into a modified map after each run. After the first run, I did have a couple of -20 trims, mostly at lower RPM/TP. After the second run, things started to settle down and I didn't have any trims greater than +/-11.
The only observation I made was that we had a difficult time removing the screws holding the secondaries. After partially stripping two screws, we used a soldering iron on the heads of the screws before we tried to remove them and they came right out. There must be thread-lock on there that needs to be heated prior to removal.
Overall the project went smoothly and the bike runs great! After a few more runs, I'm sure the Autotune will trim things out even more and it will run even better. I plan to put the bike on a dyno within the next few weeks to see what numbers it is producing. I'll report back.
Thanks to those here who answered my questions over the past couple of weeks and thanks to Hanso for providing the map. You guys helped make this a successful project.
