its time for us Northern folks-Winter what upgrades for your Rocket

I've already done most of the things to mine so I think it'll be,re fit new luggage rack, DSC00310.JPG check valve clearance ,steering head bearings. renew upper and lower forks. I noticed a bit of wear to left side fork outer tube bush and wear on the stanchion last oil change.Grease rear shaft .(not been done for 40k miles).Fit better cables to battery as startin can sometimes be a pain in the ass. I might even fit the chrome oil tank I've had for the last 3 years! DSC02207.JPG

has any one made a diagram for the eastern beaver R3 bypass headlight kit I am not sure any more on how I did it last time ( and no I do not have the original wiring anymore}

Patrick,
Go with the @DEcosse by-pass.
He is in CA, not overseas and is less spendy.
You may wish to consider his keyless as well.

oops too late I spent the money and got the EB light bypass well I am sure through the winter I will find the way to connect the wires worse come worse I can open up JD and look how I did it the first time
BTW the 2013 will also be a more subdued but nonetheless JD you'll see next year eventually keyless is also on my list of install

A'duke you'll find the install instructions for EB kit on his website
Installation

(Incidentally if this is for your Roadster, you already have Key-Switch bypass OEM, so no reliability issue there - although you might see a little performance gain - but not so much as you would with a Classic)

Thanks for endorsement regardless 'Bull - MUCH appreciated!

Looking forward to seeing it and riding together next spring.

I've got 16 inch bagger bars to go on the headlight relay kit and the passenger backrest is in the plans would love to do the keyless ignition as well

if I may be so bold as to request further explanation
your quote"Incidentally if this is for your Roadster, you already have Key-Switch bypass OEM" does this mean I do not have to install this EB ignition bypass kit??because there is already such a thing OEM on the bike ? I originally knew the ignition barrel was a weak link in the wiring so I installed one EB kit on my 2006 classic(10 years ago) but now I wonder if I need to do the same on the 2013 roadster if all I gain is a bit more lumens I am not inclined to go through all this rigmarole please tell me since I plan to go keyless in the spring with your "basic system" and I hate to do electrics work as you can tell the least the better

^ that is correct a'duke - Roadster should already have relay bypass (the early Roadsters did not come originally like that but there was a factory retrofit to make it like the later std)
When I get home later can give you the serial numbers
With my keyless kit then of course the current no longer goes through the key-switch anyway
I posted up a little more on this earlier today in the currently active DEcosse Keyless thread in the forum

How will I find out if my 2011 rocket 3 roadster has this retrofit as the complete wiring harness had to be changed just before I bought it from the previous owner because of an ignition failure and what's the new wiring harness came with the retrofit or not
