TuneECU wanted de-cat mod pipes 3 k&n

Paul Bryant from Viking exhausts did it for me. He cut the engine side ends of pulled out the cats then rewelded. See images

Decats a deeper nicer tone but not excessive - I had short straights on before but too loud after an hour. If you have a touring and put on the k&n's TuneECU has a Nels tune suited for decat etc and also a Hans-o but the Hans-o is aggressive and likely needs jardines or improved headers set up and more straight through pipe options. I'm finding the Nels 20368 Ramair excellent for my setup. Still under 500km on that tune so will pull plugs soon and check if still lean as baffles in pipes - though they can be drilled out!

You'll need to either find a set of TOR's, Jardines, or if you don't mind spending a bit and getting performance and style and noise check out Paul Bryant and Viking Exhausts - Paul's on here and custom males headers cross overs and pipe set - wish I could afford a set they are awesome. De-cat and baffle-ectomy on OEMs can be a bit tinny sounding. I just removed short pipes cos after an hour the subs started pounding my head - full noise but kind of liked it. In between noise now
