transmission noise!!

Did you find the place for the electrical connection yet?. It looks like it should fit in a recess located inside of the left (gearshift) side of the motor. Feel around underneath with your finger. It is held in with one 6mm bolt.

no I have not found the connection yet it has to be somewhere in the back of the engine I think , it comes from the harness on top of the engine at the upper bend of the frame and the wire is 13 inches long here is a picture it is a four prongs female plug do you remember plugging

this one?

That goes to the oxygen sensor. If yours is removed then it does nothing. Tape up the end to keep it clean and tuck it away !

Disregard this posting ! It is El Toro Mierda !

Patrick what wire harness does it originate from? It sure does not look like my O2 sensor plug. If it comes from the injector harness its the stepper motor in fact if it does not why don't you find the stepper motor plug because I can see from the picture your stepper motor is not plugged in yet. the O2 sensor plug is a short one off the main harness down by the ECU which is on the other side of the bike if you got that short pig tail to stretch out that far your going to have other problems. Also it looks like they plug in your holding has a weather proof boot on it. The O2 sensor since it is under the side cover on the other side does not have the weather proofing on it.

Here Below is the plug end Fred was referring to on the O2 sensor. It is by the ECU on the main engine harness and short no real weather proof insulation or rubber plug cover.

here below is the injector harness which plugs in up in front of the engine on the head notice the wire you are holding the insulation and cover boot on the end. It runs into the end ot the harness very close to were the primary TPS plug is. my finger is pointing to the plug your holding.

now a look at the actual four pin plug. mine is a different color but the same shape and cover on it.

now to make it easy follow yours and see what harness it plugs into. Once we find that out I can go chase it down as my main harness is almost all the way out of the bike except where it plugs into the ecu, and there is no plug on it like that.
hope this helps.

Yep I went and look for mine but all I have is wide ban sensors which are 5 pin plugs. it took me a while to find the one coming from the ecu.
ok tomorrow I have to find out .
Warp your picture of the stepper motor plug looks very similar to mine so I will go to the manual and check. I could not tell you what harness the plug come out of , just that it is from a large loom wrapped in tape above the cyl head. I do not have an oxy sensor in the exhaust anymore so it is not that . BTW WHERE IS THIS stepper motor what does it do and how can you see from my picture that it is not plugged in. I am looking at that picture and see nothing am I blind !!
