Hi Guys,

This is my first Triumph and I am use to Japanese inline 4, so all the engine noises are worrying me a lot! All those sounds like parts moving not being properly adjusted and feels like the engine is going to fall apart...

The microphone does not render it well, but since you are experienced in those 3 cylinders engines, do I need to be worried or not?

Note the noises are even more present when the engine is hot after few miles.

FYI, just got 900 miles...

Thanks

Phil

Couple of points, first that motor sounds normal. Second the configuration of the bike (longitudinal mount) allows the valve train noise to be heard. On a cross mount engines the noise is abated by the fuel tank, on the Rocket it's resonated in the intake tract on the left side of the bike. If you really want to hear the valves clatter away replace the airbox with pod filters and it sounds like an angry herd of crickets invaded your motor. This is my second Rocket (2023 GT) and my 2005 when I bought it new had the same valve train noise as your bike. I rode that bike for 50K miles and never had any problems with it.
