Tank Pad Triumph double sided adhesive film

Not sure your "reference"meaning.
I've no part numbers, but it looks like its for a fuel tank top pad, mounted just forward of the seat. ???

Yes it is. I removed it from my other rocket and I would like to paste on my Rocket X, but i will need to get the double sided adhesive film to do it.
The photo is an example that I picked up from internet from the "yellow adhesive tape".
 
I now understand.
I would take care not to damage that X paint.
If you feel the need to protect the tank top, perhaps some 3M protective clear instead?
