Shhh...don't let my wife know...

Bought a Kury Sound of Chrome speaker system and planning on hooking it up to
a Sirius Sat Radio kit. The Kury kit appears to be very complete and easy to install.
The power supply has a built in fuse and noise filter and already includes the ring
terminals to hook up to the battery. I plan on mounting the filter between the battery
and the rear fender and run the cable forward up the frame rail. Cable ties included.
The amps are built into the speakers so you don't have anything else to mount. I also
like the fact that the volume control is on the speaker rather than having to purchase
and mount a remote volume control.

The radio kit includes a handlebar clamp but is also designed to mount to the clutch
housing. I'll see if it does but the fall back is the supplied clamp. The mount includes
a cradle for the Sirius Stratus radio and a plate for the sat antenna. It also includes
a rain cover.

Here's a pic of the Kury speakers:

I purchased the speakers from West End Motorsports (Link Removed)
Great price and quick delivery.

The sat kit is from TSS Radio (Professional Motorcycle Install Kit SIRPMK1)

It looks like this mounted:

The speakers are in and the sat kit should be here tomorrow. Now to just get E-III out
of the shop so that I can get it installed. Pictures to follow.

The whole time that I'm reading that post I can almost here you whispering.lol I'm also curious to see how it turns out.

You should have seen me grab the FedEx delivery today and casually stroll through the
kitchen on the way to the garage this afternoon.

"Oh, nothing. Just some bike stuff." when asked.

Well? Well? hows the tunes? wheres the pics? Wait a minute, you've probably got it up to loud to hear me. WHERE THE PICS?
CAN YOU HEAR ME NOW? Turn it down and let us know if you're satisified..;)

Wouldn't you know, my friggin bike is still in the shop and my sound system is sitting in the garage hidden beneath some boxes so the wife doesn't see it. I hope to get the bike back by Tue. I will definitely post pics when I get it installed.

I have to do something similar when I buy something for the bike like the Zumo or another computer - hide it for a few weeks. But, once I've had it for a while it doesn't matter. Eventually my wife will see it and ask when I got it. I just casually say; "I don't remember, I've had that for quite a while now". Usually she'll just grunt and walk away and then I'm off the hook. I've had the Zumo long enough now that I keep it mounted on the bike anymore just waiting for her to ask about it.

I know, some will say just to tell her how it's going to be, but this method works for me and keep relative peace in the house!

I'm trying to figure out how to get a set of Jardines.. lol (thanks to Britman!) I'm okay spending $100 or less, but more than that, especially when that next 0 ($1,000) gets added on, then I have to do some finagling (is that a word?).. :)
