I remember seeing the first interviews with the system designer. iirc on a Jay Leno show which had been posted on youtube.

It's a simple concept, but the base surface has to be PERFECT and that I think is the main issue - the prep costs a fortune.
It would be a bold statement piece - too much for me. And I'd be REALLY wary of having anything highly reflective in my line of sight - sun glare off chrome is a real issue here.

hum that's a good point never thought of that, but having a darker chrome would that be a less glare?
Im just trying to think of showing off this guys work.

I don't know enough about the system to know where spectrum absorbency takes place. Basically the treatment creates a mirror and then you (I suppose) have a tinted layer and finally a protective gloss layer. I would start questioned the Chroming folk.

But usually - smooth - means shiny. Glass for example is usually colourless - but when the sun hits that - boy does it dazzle. I've just put a matte finish glass film over the KTM's dash for this very reason. No reflection.

There is a private school about 10 miles from us. For a couple of weeks a year, as the sun sets, the reflection comes straight into our lounge. Can't see the TV when it does. Sunlight off a car windscreen is brighter than any headlight.

I'm not at all anti-chrome. I just don't like it where it can dazzle me.

Humm good points, my first thinking was a satin black or dark grey with orange cobra stripes to look mean and the orange to stand out, but people are telling me that it’s harder to maintain then a gloss and a few years doesn’t look good.
Was thinking this but now back to paint, a gloss just need to think what color will look best on all the work that is going into the tins.
Thinking orange with black stripes or a silver with black stripes or a black with silver stripes or a black cherry with white or silver stripes.
What do you guys think will suit my bike based on what’s being done ? And thinking the two side cover that are aluminum do a polished and brushed look on both sides of tank.

Keep it simple what paint don’t judge cars:) what paint?

Or also thinking looking at the bike seeing it all metal and aluminum and kind of thinking it looks good picturing it all polished up.
Why not get a paint that looks like metal being silver with back cobra stripes, what do you guys think of that? Or any above?
I think the chrome look is out, I think barbagris has a good point of the glare.
