Single headlight kit

Haha no shot at your beast was intended mate I haven't seen it in person but from the pics it looks like a cool machine one of the only ones I have seen that has comfort and style tied in together and it still looks great it is definitely a mean and stylish machine and your passion for motorcycles shows in your mods. Those headers and staintunes look great too mate

Thats ok I love the r3 in every incarnation except the tourer that is an old mans bike to me. Hate the skinny arsed wheel hate the headlight really just plain don't like anything about the bike at all. I kinda forget they are even a rocket till someone brings them up then I start thinking of screens lambswool seats and walking frames for some reason and my most hated item of all saddle bags especially the hard ones . It's one sure way to wreck the lines of a beautiful machine . Like a hot woman wearing a cardboard box it just doesn't work for me . But hey we all have different taste I guess lol

Don't knock saddlebags mitch all I used for 20 years on my softail was a set of throw over leather bags with a swag across the top held down with 2 ocky straps. Wet weather gear tucked under the ocky straps all you need for a fortnight on the road.

Dont get me wrong mate i know they are practical and i know they make life a hell of alot easier no doubt about it i just dont like the way they make a bike look .
i really like the curves of the rockets rear gaurd awesome but passanger seats bags and backrests rob the bike of those lines.
obviously if u have a pillion regularly then thats the way u gotta go and if u carry allot of gear the rack and the bags also.
I usually ride solo so im able to preserve the lines of the bike but i do have a gel passenger seat i bolt on when my wife gets on it but as soon as we get home it is swiftly removed.
Kinda wish i could afford two rockets one would be the slick milkbar bike with all the nice lines and solo seat and the other would be my pack mule for rallys and camping on long distance rides kitted out with all that gear.
Happy new year Bruce and im glad u have your machine back mate

I like the twin headlight look, it's Triumph
but you can & should change your bike to suit YOUR wants/needs.
ABSOLUTELY everyone is different and it would be boring if we wher all the same.
That is one beefy unique beast u have there mate one of a kind for sure looks great .How does it handle with that huge front tire?

I see the Aussies are awake! You guys always are weighing in when Im asleep, and you all are consistent. The twin headlights are a fan favorite down under, that much is obvious.

@Lester536 those pictures you provided are exactly what Im thinking about. It looks like their are new forks and triple trees which would be more than I want to do, but I like the look of a big ass headlight.

To everyone else who says the twin headlight is pure "Triumph" apparently havent seen Triumphs web page under "classic" models. All of em have one single big ass headlight. So there! ; )

Well dude I see your in the Chicago area there has to be Someone between there and Aurora that can change the light style for you if you decide to go the Roadster way. I am not up on the new changes on the touring but I bet since a lot of the frame work is close to the same I am bettining adapting a touring light bucket will be the best way to go. Once the weather breaks in spring I have to come north and we can meet up. There is getting to be a lot of Captains in the Illinois area. I see your close to route 47 I was raised south of you on the out skirts of Yorkville. In fact I remember when your area was nothing but farms between 47 Algonquin Man has it built up. Of course I remember when there was no Fox valley either. It seemed after Oswego on 34 you fell of the map until you reached chicago:D

Now that's funny!!

Cruisers are all old men's bikes. Check the demographic of all Rocket riders, I'll bet it leans pretty heavily toward the upper end of the spectrum age wise.

If my old body could stand it I'd still be riding a proper motorcycle but regrettably I've been relegated to a cruiser. So, I chose one with a bit of git up and go.

Have a look at Dino di Drag and Racing website. Really neat looking single headlight Roadster there. Think he called it a Rocketter.

Haha yes that is true
maybe its me with the identity crises :D
I just like the look and seating position of a cruiser i dont like the leaned over position or plastic look of a sport bike but yes i think u have a point there
