Single headlight kit

I should've known this post would cause some controversy. I already can tell by reading the posts on this site that most of you like the looks of the r3.

I too never considered one until the touring came out, as it had a much more appealing look to my eyes. I'd still have my R3T if I didnt crash it in the smoky mountains in 2009. The bike was totaled and the insurance payout wasnt enough to buy a new one for cash. I ended up with an 05 Harley FLHTP that I still have and have no complaints with it. Its a Harley, aint gonna go fast, but its real comfortable for the long rides.

Triumph introduced the roadster and I really liked the idea with the mid controls and more power, my post was not ment to get everyone so angry if you like the look great. I just thought someone might have changed the headlight even if only to be "different" from the other rocket pilots.

thanks for the responses either way and

HAPPY NEW YEAR! Good health and happiness to everybody

I have a Road King parked next to my Rocket right now.. The Road King has a nice big gorgeous head light that fits the Road King. But I could never put a single light on my R3!.. lol It's just not right! I was surprised when Triumph gave the Touring a single head light.

yea, I agree Tx.
I think the Touring should have had double headlights too.
Would have made it more distinctive and kept it in line with the other R3's.
But to each his own I guess.
Fab something up to make it a single light.
You seem to like harleys, so borrow some parts and make it distinctive.
Mine has lots of harley parts on it.
Well, some anyway.
handlebars, risers, mirrors....

So the short answer is no, a single headlight kit doesnt exist. Based on the responses I doubt anyone would make one as Im not seeing any demand here.

To each his own I guess, Il never like the twin headlight look, never have, never will. I do like the roadster and just wondered if I could change what I didnt like about it.

I could/would fabricate something, if I knew how. Il keep looking, I dont have an R3 roadster yet anyway, just taking it all in while I decide

If it's that big a deal get a custom builder to fab on for you. Don't make it a deal breaker.
Had 4 H-D bikes myself-the R3 ain't no Harley.

Seriously dude If you have not had her long give the headlights some time I think you will end up liking the look its just a little different righ now. You can always add sme HD head light eye brows to alter the look a little. I have them on both of mine.

The eyebrows appropriately remind me of a steam locomotive.

The single Headlight has been responsible for a lot of lost sales of the touring here in Auss it makes it look like a Hardly Ableson with an engine transplant.... Sorry just being Honest.

On another note there have been a few Touring's totaled by now you might be able to find a headlight assembly of one and as fars the wiring is concerned.
That would be the easy part as the dual headlights use separate wire harnesses from the main loom to the the light, you just diconnect one and only use one:cool:

Thats ok I love the r3 in every incarnation except the tourer that is an old mans bike to me. Hate the skinny arsed wheel hate the headlight really just plain don't like anything about the bike at all. I kinda forget they are even a rocket till someone brings them up then I start thinking of screens lambswool seats and walking frames for some reason and my most hated item of all saddle bags especially the hard ones . It's one sure way to wreck the lines of a beautiful machine . Like a hot woman wearing a cardboard box it just doesn't work for me . But hey we all have different taste I guess lol
