Well i tell my customers , if were all tradesmen we will all do a good job , if were all similar skilled we will all be around the same price , because labor will be approx the same , but the difference comes when anyone has a problem , because we can all make mistakes and it should'nt be up to the customer to listen to excuses , JUST FIX THE FRIGGING THING.
Its a motorbike seat its made to be out in the sun you don't carry a frigging garage in your back pocket , If a cleaner will not fix it , and has a upholsterer on here just said its a vinyl problem , WELL THEY SHOULD FIX IT .
Has far has i'm concerned i could'nt care less HOW MANY good seats they have churned out they are expensive if they bought a bad batch of leather , vinyl whatever , its buisness , FIX THE MANS SEAT and they can claim the cost back of the people who sold them the vinyl .
I'm a painter , and perhaps a dozen times over the last 30 years of working for myself i've had a problem with Jobs , , what have i done , gone looked at the job , on a couple of occasions i've suspected my employees have took a short cut , generally because they want to get home its hot or whatever , and said no problem we will FIX it free of charge .
Theres been perhaps 6-7 times over the years i've looked at it , knew straight away the paints broken down been a manufacturer problem , what have i done , easy , rang the rep up TOLD HIM what the problem is and TOLD him they are liable for labor and material . any arguments we move on . .
Most time they have come to the party , the odd one or two did'nt and i will not use there products .
BUT at no time should the customer have to pay twice when ITS NOT THERE FAULT .
lIKE I SAID DOING A GOOD JOB COUNTS FOR nothing when you will not back your product .
My advice go take the seat to 2-3 indipendent up holsters , get it in writing they suspect its a vinyl problem , and take them to the SMALL CLAIMS COURT get back your money plus expenses , then post on EVERY FORUM about your problem .
