Rocket Won't Start

I am no expert but it does not sound right.
Perhaps Fred or Scott or HansO will view your SOS and help you work this out yourself.
In the mean time line up a laptop PC, a LoneTec cable to connect the bike ECU to the PC and download TuneECU from Alan Fontaine for free as well as the software to make the cable connect to the bike. Get advice before you tinker with the ECU unless you are an expert.

if u open the gas cap put your ear close to it and turn on the key u can hear the pump good.
r u pulling in the clutch lever ?

Do you still have the stock intake plumbing on ? If not, it's easy to give it a shot of starting fluid. If it fires up then you have a fuel issue. Have you tried pulling one of the spark plugs to see if you have spark ?

When you say turns over do you mean like normal or is it slower then normal. I tried to listen tot he video but to be honest I heard the stepper motor and probably the fuel pump priming to pressure.

If the bike is turning over slower then normal I would first look at battery and cables and by look I mean disconnect the battery and place it on a charger so you can watch it come up to full change. Clean cables both ends both cables. then negative is at the bottom of the engine left side between starter and the edge of the engine. Pull it and clean both case and cable. pull the starter cable off the starter and clean, In fact this is where you could just drop the starter open her up and clean the solenoid contacts. With out software to link to the ecu and run full pump, ISCV reset/check, I would then look at the plugs or at least pull one and ground it to see if your getting spark. You'll find the number three cylinder is the easiest whether or not you have to pull the intake plumbing. Others above pointed out that with the tank cap open you should be able to hear the pump prime easier plus see movement of fuel in the tank especially if its not full.
Does the bike have a the head light relay to take the load off the ignition switch?

From the description, it sounds like it's cranking over, just no start. Ign or fuel, one or the other...... BUT as others have said, the Rocket does require quite a bit of current to start. I have not tried to measure it, but at a certain voltage, the ign will stop producing spark. Engine will crank slowly, but NO spark.

Try giving the bike a Tiny bit of throttle when you're cranking it over You're "no fuel to engine could be correct" as the Stepper motor will open the throttle Slightly when the engine is cold could be it's not workin correctly. Keep us posted with your results

Yes, I have the headlight relay installed.

What's different is the buzzing during startup sequence. Give another listen to my recording on page 1. Sounds like interrupted "errr err err errrrr"

Okay, terminals, ground, and starter cleaned and tightened, battery showing 12.36 volts, good cranking speed, and nothing.

No sound from the tank or movement of fuel during starting sequence, but the fuel tank is nearly full from force of habit. I cannot hear the fuel pump.

So I removed the stock air cleaner, sprayed a couple seconds of starter fluid down the plenum, and she started right up. Ran for about 4 seconds.

Has anyone had to replace the fuel pump with less than 25,000 miles on the odometer? Does that sound like a good diagnosis?

I'd say first, you gotta see if the pump is getting voltage. You could either start at the pump and work back, or the fuse block, and work towards the pump. A wiring diagram, a volt meter, and some reading/studying required. In any event, the pump, filter etc. are all inside the tank, and the gas line that Triumph uses does not hold up very well. You can get to the wires powering the fuel pump by lifting the tank and putting it up on it's stick. Connector has 4 wires. 2 go to the fuel sending unit, and 2 to the fuel pump. Can't remember the color codes at the moment, but that's where a wiring diagram comes in.

IMHO the noise your hearing is comin from the Stepper motor and that ain't right. Easy but messy way to check you're fuel pump works is to lift the tank and disconnect the suppy hose to the injectors then switch on and off quickly ,the fuel will piss out if the pump is workin. Get a load of rags around the end to soak up the gas.

Lots of rags! NO open flames! 40 pounds per sq inch pressure, "if" it's running.
