Roadster tune w/ triple K&Ns

Hi Life,

If the tune is on the ECU, I do not think it then has a copy protection.

Please be so kind as to discuss the problem with Alain.

I will this testing with my ECU from the S3.

I will load with a current TuneEidit one Tune of WMD and then try with TuneECU read this tune again.

I will report then.

BR, Tom

can't read my tune with the 1.66 either.
Tom you know that I can read tunes, by definition.
it must be that the TB-tune my bike has now is in some ways copy protected, right?

Hi Life,

The problem where must be different.

I have today downloaded a Tune from WMD's Database.

This tune I've loaded with TuneEDI 3.9.9.7 on my ECU.

Then I read this tune with TuneECU 1.6.99b and I have this stored.

Absolutely no problems.

Hi Life

We shall see, Alain will surely think of something.
So far he has always found a solution.

With my lab rat (an S3 ECU) on my desk has everything perfectly
work.

Hi Tom,
yes I will talk to Alain. however I haven't anything more to show than dialog boxes "unknown map" and such....

Hi Jared,
Roadster material is scarce, and will probably be so for some time..
I have dynoed tune for the Roadster with 3xKN and TORS.
done with Tuneboy and I cannot seem to extract it with TuneECU. don't know why, I have extracted tunes before but this one seems to be of a new format.

otherwise you would have gotten it!

on the other side, adding 3xKN and doing a 12 minute tune will do pretty good.
with the ECU adapting and a fuel injection engine the system will benefit from being opened up.
I don't think that you will risk running too lean. I know several people that have 3xKN or even stackers and never bother to change map or do a dyno. they have decel pop and such but keep running the config year after year.

If you want a system that is optimized that's a whole different thing of course.

My advice would be to fit the KNs, do a 12-minute and if you change to TORS, change to 20355 tune, supplied by Triumph along with the exhausts.

this will be a good start and the tunes will be there sooner or later. on the other hand, if you can find a dyno guy nearby who is familiar with TuneECU, then you could go for it of course!
Hi Leif i got 2012 rocket roadster VIN 547186 whit TORS and whitout KNN what is the best map for tune whit tune ecu.
