Living Legend
Well took the bike to work yesterday. When I left the dirt road for the pavement, i gave it a little gas and heard a funny roar sound coming from under the bear claw. Backed off the gas imminently. Thought to myself "you screwed something up". Parked it on the side of the road and listen to the motor at idle. Sounded good, no funny noises. So we took off again and leaned over a bit. Sure enough the roaring sound was coming from under the bear claw. So by the time I got to the Highway was kind of 50/50 on if it was normal or not. Still have the stock exhaust so you can image my thoughts listening to this newly acquired sound. At highway speeds the roar is a lot less noticeable. Did notice that at 75 to 80 MPH the RPM's are less. Acceleration is improved and engine seems to run a bit smoother at highway speeds. The added bonus to the events of yesterday was riding home in the rain.
