I like this idea a lot more than the original one posted. This frees up both hands to perform the shim change. Simple but effective and minimal chance of slipping and scratching/scrapping something.I like this idea better. A fellow from Poland posted this last year. I just made one a couple days ago and it really really works !
ouch!!A word of caution ! When using any valve shim tool. DO NOT TURN THE ENGINE WITH A SHIM REMOVED ! The cam with contact the raised edge of the bucket follower and break a chunk out of it. Don't ask how I know this
