Planning a 4200 mile trip for July

my route has me leaving Cody to do the Beartooth, I raveling east to west. I will defintely check out the Triumph Shop, thanks. I was hoping the Triumph would announce a trunk/fairing version for this bike by then but apparently they are not going to even thought the trike guys are all saying May/15. If not the old girl from 08' will have to make the trip. Was going to get a Commander 2 but they do not carry our size so I guess it is either an Avon or another Altimax.

I like to hit a Gentlemens club when on these trips, any reccomendations out west?

Don't understand why the reverse route if you are leaving KY for the Rapid City-Sturgis SD area; seems unnecessarily circuitous to me.
Regardless what direction you choose, you might consider this:
First time I rode the Beartooth was on my 60th B-Day. Was such an awesome experience, I spent the night in Cooke City (east gate Yellowstone) and rode it the opposite direction the next morning! The Beartooth Hwy is only 50 miles from Red Lodge, MT to the 296 turn off to Cody, which is 60 miles further.
Don't know about the Gentleman's clubs. Never been into window shopping too much and prefer to just go to Nevada for the real deal!

I leave Ky (East to West) to KC first night, Sioux Falls 2nd night, Rapid City (2nights), Devils Tower and then over to Cody for the night, Cody to beartooth into MT probably stay around Bozeman, from there to Missoula and Kalispell, Going to Sun Rd, pick up Hwy 2 headed back east all the way through MT, ND, MN, to Hurley Wisconsin, pick up 51 to I -39 head back home through IL. Don't know what you mean by "reverse route" as I have to come back home.

Yeah the real deal can be had in about every state except for SD, MT and ND. I am shocked how tight things are there. It is making me think I should do my back up trip to Maine and Canada as there is much more adult fun to be had.

Elvis, The AFR Plus and/or the Power Trip tune make your bike SOOOOOOO much better. The AFR plus will cost something around $275 to $325 and the Power Trip tune is free with a $20 cable and your laptop computer. I recommend for your Touring the free Power Trip tune. You gain 30 HP and about 10 TQ with that one. Your wrist angle determines the amount of tire tare off.

Your route will work just fine! Hope you allowed yourself at least a couple days to ride all the good stuff around Sturgis, Deadwood, Spearfish, Hill City, Keystone and Custer.
Don't waste your money on the Crazy Horse - you can see it well enough from the highway. Be SURE to do the Iron Mt. Rd. (16) from south to north and don't miss the Spearfish Canyon Road (14) followed by the one way ride (205) to Rochford and the Moonshine Gulch Saloon!
After you do the Beartooth to Red Lodge (while there, check out Bone Daddy's cycle for a cool t-shirt) consider the 78 north to Columbus on your way to Bozeman, it's a nice ride and eliminates some slab.

If I was twenty years younger I would probably jump on that but that extra HP and TQ does not interest me that much anymore as I like to ride slow enough to look at things;)

What is the name of the little cafe restataurant around Spearfish Canyon? I will check out Bone Daddy's. Thanks for the advice on Crazy Horse.

Nothing wrong with "low and slow" but having the extra kick in the butt when you need/want it is nice. It's all about wrist control! Ride Safe!

Sounds like an epic trip which ever way you go, this quote sums it up for me

It is a very cool bar with food in Rochford called "Moonshine Gulch Saloon".
A cantankerous wonderful little old lady who owns/operates it is awesome to converse with!
TALK about your "local color"!!!

I like that, this is exactly what this trip is about. I kept waiting on my two other guys as he we always said we would go here I will be 50 in a few weeks and we still haven't went. Well, that's it, I'm going. I dream about work, think about work on the weekend, it is time for a break. I hope there is little cell coverage there unless I am bleeding out and need it! LOL
