Planning a 4200 mile trip for July

It is a very cool bar with food in Rochford called "Moonshine Gulch Saloon".
A cantankerous wonderful little old lady who owns/operates it is awesome to converse with!
TALK about your "local color"!!!

We planned a South Dakota trip two years ago and had a reservation for a house in Spearfish Canyon, this cafe was listed in the VRBO ad as a short distance from the cabin.

Nothing wrong with "low and slow" but having the extra kick in the butt when you need/want it is nice. It's all about wrist control! Ride Safe!

This bike is already faster that any bagger and since it has 30k miles with no internal issues, why mess with a good thing?

At the south end of the Spearfish Canyon road (14) is a good eating restaurant called, "Cheyenne Crossing".
Four miles further up that road is the right turn onto 205 and Rochford (Moonshine Gulch Saloon).

The Crossing was the one close the the VRBO ad we looked at. I thought I was going crazy when you mentioned the other one but was not going to argue since I have not been there.

20 plus years ago, the LA Celebrity MC, The Ugly Motorcycle Club, would congregate there because it was, at the time, relatively unknown to the tourist during Sturgis. Out of the way kind of place. Peter Fonda and the boys could meet and party in obscurity. It's still not on the main circuit for the most part. 1obull is right, good basic grub. Interesting locals. Real interesting decor inside.

Already mentioned but seconding or thirding...Glacier National Park, HD museum, catching a bit of Mississippi on a section of the Great Road (did it all last summer), Pig Tail road near Rushmore....(personally found Rushmore itself underwhelming but i live near the Sierras), Badlands....and out near the Badlands you will find the Minuteman Missile Museum....go down in a silo and launch...also in SD....stay or at least visit Hot Springs.
