It seems that in my area there is n oone with the knowledge to install and program a PCV / autotune in a R3.......sooooo, is there any DIY instructions on this formn that can help me do ot myself???:-( this lack of dealers with adequate experience seems to be a trouble spot with Triumphs, in this neck of the woods anyway..... just say'in

All the install documents are on Dynojets website.

It's not at all hard but I'd recommend you read and reread the manuals with the bike in front of you and the side covers off (maybe with tank up too) .

A bit fiddly if you want to use the tune/gear "feature".

The PCV alone is VERY plug and play. The A/T box requires that you have a fine screwdriver to hand. The wire clamps are really tiny. As long as you follow the instructions it simply works.

I'd strongly recommend you use Wayne Tripps AFR values and NOT dynojets. But this can be phase 2. The PCV comes with a map installed - it auto detects the A/T (as long as you follow the manual)

The software to install maps comes with it - There's frankly NOT much to understand.

But I hear you - a few "mechanics" seem to get panicky when faced with the unknown. I am amongst them. But I'm in IT and so have RTFM deeply ingrained.

We're here if you have any specific quessies. Did I mention you need to read the manuals?

I have an AFR Map I created, I started out using Wayne Tripp's AFR's transposed on to a Zero PCV map I found it was a bit to lean overall but to lean in others so I the developed it to a point where it is now in "version 2" it is giving better power and great fuel economy if you would like it send PM with your e-mail address, there are numerous people already using it with great success

Really?........what mods have you done?............i have got decat / K&N filter and a Zard system......it had Tors fitted when i bought it and "apparanty" had a Triumph remap......it used to pop quite a bit on decel and it was very lumpy on tickover ............i had the dealer install a base map for my mods and it feels a lot smoother through the rev range and ticks over better......i will fit the Autotune as i have bought it now anyway.

yeah.. but then again i thought 50hp more was a mild improvement.. didnt notice another 30 after that.. :)

Decel popping is easy to fix with the PC modules. First, connect your laptop to the PC unit. The map that comes up should be saved!!
Take the bike out and shut the throttle down at different rpms. Note at which rpms the popping occurs. Then bring her home, plug in the PC into your laptop and increase the fuel vales at ZERO throttle for those rpms where the popping occurred. I went up by at least +10 at each point and eliminated the popping completely. I needed even richer settings at some rpms. Take her out again and see what happens....readjust as needed on your laptop. Two or three rides and you'll be OK.
Don't be afraid because you can always go back to the original map you saved at first hookup to the PC.
Understand, you are only increasing A/F ratios at ZERO throttle so none of the ratios at any other throttle opening will be changed so performance will not be affected.
