One dead bike!

Was thinking of flying over to Bribane to visit an Uncle who live about 150miles north some time next year, not sure if Ill be able to get the Rocket in as hand luggage though  so will prob look into hiring something! Do they hire bikes over there??

Just sat waiting for the second cable to turn up, so will spend the time polishing all the shiny bits while its stood still!

Just keep us posted of your plans, you never know what could happen. I offered Nolton use of an America to ride up to Hervey Bay with me, and I'm sure we'd have swapped bikes along the way. Something like that could always be on the cards if someone in Brisbane was up for a short jaunt up the coast and had a spare bike. You never know. That way you get to ride a Rocket at least some of the way.

Also pretty sure you'd be able to hire a Harley (at least) up that way.

Welcome from Brisbane ... not the faintest idea whats wrong with your bike, don't even know where the f#ckin cable plugs into  true. If you do end up coming to Brisbane let us know .. sure we can sort something out so you get to ride up for your visit. Good luck with the cable. If it don't work maybe you could try whipping the bike with it like Basil Faulty did to the Mini with the branch :D

P.S really like the 'blood and bone' Rockets with the black engines.. nice bike you got there , hope it's only the cable mate.

Yeah, that would be cool, an international visitor:cool:

IT'S ALIVE! IT'S ALIVE Yep one new cable and got it working first time.

Did a bit of homework on this one and according to Audi there are two types of cables on the market.
A cheaper one(the first one I got) that is made to just read the fault codes, and will not download back to the ECU.
A only slightly more expensive version that works both ways.
I didn't know this as I didn't find this info till I dug around for it, and this is not mentioned in the sellers discriptions of the leads.

SO to all who follow DON'T BUY THE CHEAPEST ONE get the second cheapest. :)

Thanks for the help and encouragement guys, Hope to get down under in the comming year and say hi.

:bch:
