I've searched and can't find anything.

From what I have gathered the filter is M20x1.5? Is that correct? If so what have you used to sandwich between the filter and the case to divert oil to the cooler?

For a Cooler I'm probably going with:
Setrab Series 1 Oil Cooler, 19 Row, M22 Ports - Pegasus Auto Racing Supplies
and
Setrab M22 to 10AN Male Adapter, Straight - Pegasus Auto Racing Supplies

Should just be some hoses and fittings from complete, about $250, not terrible.

Now to figure out where I am going to mount it...and how lol. Thinking in front of radiator with some standoff space between them, high up to avoid wheel movement/debris.

Looks pretty good , what are you using for a cooler air to oil or engine coolant ?
 
Air/Oil is what I'd prefer to do. Just need to find the right one that has many parallel channels, like the Setrab instead of only a few long channels to keep pressure drop to a minimum and flow high.
 
The idea of an oil cooler looks good to me. I looked into adding one several years ago. Saw the sandwich plate adapters as the way to get the oil out and in. The Glow Shift is the one I liked too. Could not decide on a cooler though. There are plenty out there much less costly. Look at transmission coolers too. Saw some real nice ones. After researching this and talking to many folks, it came down to the Rocket in normal to mild up-rated tune doesn't really need one. I would still like to have one though.
 
Universal Oil Coolers

Don't discount water/oil cooler. Quick warm-up on oil and stable oil temps. I know it'sa vastly different application, but an tranny oil/water cooler and a thermostat due wonders for consistency on a bracket car.
 
Totally agree FE_rex, it definitely has an application, though, I don't think this is it.

While I generally try not to buy brand names just for the name, and a $30 ebay cooler may function just fine, it also may not. Going to order this up and see what it does for temps, as another preventative anti-detonation mod.

I think I'll want all the cooling possible at 100f+ holding it WFO for 3 minutes, coincidentally, the speeds involved I suspect will allow me to get away with a slightly undersized cooler...

Speaking of detonation, I was running 25 degrees timing from 6k-redline previously without any detonation. In the Carpenter 240 tune it's at 17 once you apply the trims. Can't say I notice any power difference, so, I'm going to try the 17 on the dyno in a few weeks to see if the acceptable range really is that wide, if so, that's awesome, it means the engine's even safer now.

What if you use two coolers and mount them one on each side inside the crash bars?
 
Definitely a good spot, brackets there would be very simple. I'll have a play with it when it arrives.

Rob - If you plan to run in a HOT DRY place where the ground heat reflects up : bear in mind that the ambient air temps down below 1metre high will be way hotter than "forecasted" temps. Dry air does not absorb heat from cooler vanes as quick as somewhere humid-ish.
