Do you have or can you get an OBD reader? If so, what's the actual code?

Jesus Sonny if you did not have bad luck you would not have any luck. Hope it is an easy fix, have you checked the obvious like the fuses?

Probably code P1231 "Fuel pump short circuit to ground or open circuit".

I would start with the relay...unplug and make sure it's connections are good.

Never even heard this issue on a rocket previously Sonny, rough luck for you, we seem to be sharing that trait lately.

I'd suggest starting the same way you fixed the light by running through the connectors and harness that lead to the tank pump plate and ensuring it's not a connection issue.

Fuses, chassis ground down by the starter; there is of course a relay involved.

If that all checks out, I'd suggest throwing in a Walbro 342 because it's 1/4 the cost of OEM and a better pump, though it is a good bit louder when turning the bike on.

    Good luck!
