Just ad a nice 441 mile ride today down to Triumph Detroit. I had ordered a Long Haul seat and went down to pick it up.
This is the new model, not like the normal one piece seat on te Touring. It is now a two piece rider amd passenger seat. And the rider backrest is still separate order.
This pick was just taken in a low lit pole barn but it gives you an idea. I believe that the passenger seat is wider and more comfortable than the previous model.
Rode back on it. A bit different position wise with the backrest but it seems OK. Will know more after my trip to Tennessee beginning Sunday. Give it some break in time. I DO like the back support.
I used one of those last year on a ten day ride to the smokies and back. it is considerably better than stock. I then had Rick Mayer redo my stock seat, which is what I use now. If anyone is looking for the new triumph touring set up without the backrest Id be willing to Part with it
I think the back rest is almost a necessity if you plan on using the torque on take offs.
Sports bikes have a pad behind the ass and your ankles are also behind you.
On a cruiser with the feet forward position ,there is not much stop you going backwards.
Its ok if you only have 80hp
