Need help

i got a r3t 08 right at 50000 miles and yesterday it started jumping out of gear I would put it in second then a few moments later it was like it was in neutral same thing this morning in fourt gear and it also the same when down shifting any ideal would be greatly appreciated

R3T Gearbox problems?

Rainman, same happened to me last Sunday. 2 and 4 gone. Bike now in dealer awaiting verdict. See my post on 25/3/2012. This seemsto be a common problem although dealers will say "first i heard of this problem" Like you i would appreciate any advice.

If you're lucky it's just a broken spring...if not, then it is an engine removal and major work. It only cost me about $3600 out of pocket and over 1/2 year in the shop.

Hey rainman, mine broke last year at 15k miles, part inexpensive but it was not a stock item putting me down for 3 weeks.

If its the detent spring it will be about 5 to 6 hours work if you have the parts, Thats including tear down. It can be done quicker if you have been in a Rocket before.
