2013 Rocket III Touring
OK, here's the deal. Its time for me to rid myself of the Metzelers that are on my '13 Rocket III Touring. I really like what I read about the Avon Cobra Chromes, and I want to go with front and rear whitewalls (I know...makes it look like Grandpa's bike!). I am confused as to the best sizes for fronts and rears. The bike came with Metzelers 180/50 16 in front and 180/70 16 rear. I can't seem to find those sizes in the Avon Cobra Chromes. What size Chromes do any of you other RIII T riders use?

Correct the 2013 Roadster has 17" front rim whilst the Touring should have a 16" front rim but still it wont be 180/50 size tire - without dyslexia it should be expressed as 150/80-RXX.

According to 2013 Triumph Rocket III Touring the wheel sizes are the same as the Roadster - which I don't believe for a minute.

The Touring model is a 16” rim. 150-80-16 is the factory tire. A lot of discussion has transpired over the past few years on going to a 140-80-16. Others praise going to a 130-80-16. Simply put, don’t attempt to run the Rocket 3 cruiser tire on a Touring model.

Right you are! Glasses on, eyedrops in, and turned on the lights in the shop! front is 150/80 R16 and the rear is 180/70 R16, both H rated! Thanx, guys!
This is per page 111 of the owners handbook. No mention of 17's to be found!
